You have probably noticed that entrepreneurship is on a verge of becoming mainstream. You know how people that were in a band got all the girls… well entrepreneurs will be getting ‘them girls now. You also know how people started to imitate rock stars and even pretended to be one. I see the same thing happening with entrepreneurs.

A lot of people on social networks call themselves entrepreneurs nowadays, even though they have never started a business. Most of them  probably want to start one, but for all the wrong reasons – because it’s cool and they want to fulfill their own desire of being popular/hip/trendy.

The thing is, most of them will never do anything entrepreneurial in their life, because they don’t want the experience. They just want the title! They want what majority thinks is cool so that they will be/look cool.

If you feel like you are one of the imitators remember; if you want to be truly cool & happy… don’t follow fads. They will just blind you and pull you farther away from what you truly want to do and what you are truly good at in your life.

We often tend to focus too much on planning instead of on doing. Planning is always kinda fun. You get everything that’s inside your head on the paper. Everything looks perfect and without obstacles.

But when you actually start doing things the obstacles just pile up. So get easy on the planning and focus more on doing. Plan ahead … but while doing.

Everyone of us is born with a fear that doesn’t allow us to live life as we truly want to live. We actually aren’t born with fear. We learn it.* People that get rid of this fear are the successful ones (not only in terms of money). They are successful because they are not afraid to act as they truly feel. They are the ones that make themselves a life which they will enjoy till the end – they are the ones who say SCREW IT, I’m gonna quite my job and start my own company. They are the ones that sell everything and move to another country where they always dreamed of living etc.

Others, the ones that never defeat fear, are the ones that have a lot of regrets when they’re old.

Over the years I have realized that fear kept me from achieving many things. I knew that there was something holding me back from doing what I truly want to do, but I never tried to fix it. I taught it would fade away eventually. Guess what? It never did.

A couple of years ago I came across few articles that were talking about comfort zone. Those articles helped me become more aware of my fears. Since then I have been successfully getting rid of them and I can say that my life improved drastically. I became a much better and happier person.

So my one and only suggestion for you is … if you find yourself in a situation when somehow you know what you should do, but there’s a small evil person inside your head telling you not to … break the hell out of your comfort zone and go do it! – Quit that job, sell your house and move somewhere else,  kiss that girl, start a company, ask that girl you don’t even know for a date, go talk to a potential business partner on a conference etc. Just do it! If you don’t, I bet you will regret it later. We always regret such things. Do you really want to grow old and then look back on your life with regret?

The feeling you get when you get out of your comfort zone and act as you truly desire is priceless. Even if it doesn’t end up good you won’t regret it.
